Solo-Car Accident on Harbor Boulevard Leaves 1 Man Dead
Oxnard, CA (April 17th, 2023) – A solo-car accident on Harbor Boulevard near Gonzales Road claimed the life of 53-year-old Jason Douglas Provost, according to a statement from the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The deadly incident occurred around 5:25 a.m. on Saturday.
Provost Was Alone When His Toyota Camry Veered Off the Road
Provost was the sole occupant of his silver 2021 Toyota Camry when he veered into the right shoulder and collided with a power pole for an unknown reason. Unfortunately, he did not survive the impact, and emergency crews found him deceased at the scene.
Following the accident, the Oxnard Fire Department and Ventura County crews responded to the scene, but it is still unknown whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to contact the CHP.
