Karma Can Be Deadly

Posted on July 10, 2012 | Written By: iadminlaw

The best way to handle marital problems is to discuss them in a civil and respectful manner. Both sides need to understand the situation from the perspective of their spouse and work toward a peaceful resolution. Domestic violence is to be avoided at all costs. Why would you hurt the love of your life?

In some situations, however, domestic abuse can be even more extreme than merely slapping your wife because she ran up the credit card. Sometimes husbands try to kill their wives because they can’t control their anger. Why would you try to kill the love of your life?

Whether you hurt your spouse or try to kill them, remember that your actions often have serious and deadly consequences.

A Victorville man ran over his wife with his SUV during an argument and then was killed as he sped away and crashed through a highway guardrail in San Bernardino County.

Kenneth Amaya Jr., 34, apparently lost control of his vehicle Saturday afternoon and was ejected as it rolled down an embankment on Interstate 15 near Hesperia, said Susan Rose.

Amaya, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The name of Amaya’s wife was not released because she was a victim of domestic violence. She was airlifted to Arrowhead Medical Center in critical condition with extensive injuries but was able to talk, Rose said. Her condition Tuesday could not be confirmed.

Witnesses said Amaya and his wife had pulled the GMC Yukon to the side of the road by Main Street in Hesperia and were fighting when he jumped back into the vehicle, ran her over and drove off.

Authorities then began searching for Amaya in what was then considered an attempted murder case; they did not know his whereabouts until his fatal crash.

The next time you get into an argument with your spouse, remember that karma often times comes back with a vengeance.
