Clovis Police Chase Ends in Crash and Arrest of Driver
CLOVIS, CA (September 4, 2024) – Donald Henderson faces charges following a police chase that ended in a crash near Peach Avenue and Gettysburg Avenue on Wednesday evening, according to Clovis Police.
The incident began around 5:00 p.m. when officers responded to reports of a parolee, identified as 34-year-old Donald Henderson, in possession of a firearm in a passenger vehicle. When police attempted to pull the vehicle over, the driver refused to stop and fled.
After Crashing, Donald Henderson Threw His Weapon and Fled On Foot
The pursuit ended in a crash at the intersection of Peach Avenue and Gettysburg Avenue. It is unclear if anyone was injured in the accident.
Following the crash, Donald Henderson reportedly threw the weapon from the car and fled on foot with the driver. Officers, with the help of a K-9 unit, quickly located Henderson and took him into custody. The driver was also apprehended later.
