Police were investigating a deadly hit-and-run accident Friday in Hollywood.
The crash occurred near the intersection of Santa Monica Boulevard and North Highland Avenue around 3:30 a.m., according to Los Angeles Police.
Reporter Pete Demetriou said the unidentified woman was reacting to a story or joke with friends at a bus stop when she was hit by the vehicle.
She was carried 40 or more feet on the car before falling off, according to officials.
She was transported to a local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
Investigators said the suspect’s car was described as a Thunderbird or Toyota Corolla.
