WINCHESTER, CA (August 1, 2018) – Thomas Dyer died last week while riding a bicycle after being hit by a hit-and-run driver in Winchester.
The accident occurred on Scott Road close to Leon Road.
According to investigators, the hit-and-run driver struck Dyer on July 25 in the evening, or July 26 in the morning. People passing by found Dyer on the side of the road at roughly 9:30 a.m. He was deceased.
According to people, Dyer was often seen riding a bike and toting a gas can. A gas can was found not far from where his body lay, on the south shoulder.
Thomas Dyer was a father and a grandfather.
Anyone with information about the accident is asked to call the Temecula California Highway Patrol office at (951) 506-2000, and ask for Officer Strom.
Investigators are working the case to determine what caused the accident.
