Hit-and-run Crash at Klamath Drive Critically Injures Pedestrian In Westminster, CA
WESTMINSTER, CA (July 1, 2022) – Early in the morning on Wednesday in Westminster, a woman who was walking with her dogs was struck and critically injured by a hit-and-run driver. The June 29 crash occurred where Iroquois Road and Klamath Drive intersect.
The time was roughly 6:15 a.m., Westminster Police said.
The victim had been going across the street, according to Westminster Police, with her dogs when a vehicle–described as a Ford Explorer–struck her.
Video recorded by a surveillance camera captured the incident, reports say, and show the pedestrian looking in both directions before starting to cross the street.
Reports say the video shows the Ford coming toward her, and she turns about to run; nevertheless, the Ford hits her.
Responders transported the victim to the hospital. She suffered injuries that were described as critical.
She was identified only as in her thirties. Her name and city of residence have not been reported.
It is not known if her dogs were injured in the hit-and-run crash.
Investigators are searching for the suspect hit-and-run driver, and the vehicle involved in the crash.
