Two Morning Crashes in Ventura County Cause Damage and Injuries
VENTURA COUNTY, CA (October 18, 2018) – Two crashes in Ventura County on Wednesday caused damage and injuries. The October 17 collisions occurred in the morning.
The first collision occurred on the 118 Freeway heading eastbound in Simi Valley, a bit west of Sycamore Drive. The time was roughly 5:40 a.m.
According to reports, a minimum of two vehicles were involved in that crash that happened in the right and middle lanes. One of the vehicles—described as a Jeep—overturned and landed on the roof.
According to the California Highway Patrol, no one was injured in that accident.
Roughly fifteen minutes after, a second collision occurred near Camarillo, to the west. That accident happened on Central Avenue, a bit east of Santa Clara Avenue.
In that crash, reports say three vehicles were involved. One of the vehicles landed in a ditch. Responders from the fire department had to extricate victims from the wrecked vehicle in the ditch.
Four people were injured, according to the Ventura County Fire Department. The victims were taken to the hospital with injuries that ranged from minor to moderate.
No other details have yet been reported on the two different accidents.
