Two Motorcyclists Killed in Crash in Ventura County on Highway 33
VENTURA COUNTY, CA (May 30, 2019) – Two motorcyclists were killed in a crash on Highway 33 Wednesday afternoon in northern Ventura County. The May 29 incident occurred close to Lockwood Valley Road.
The time was not long after noon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Reports say two riders—both identified as men—had each been riding a motorcycle and heading south. For reasons that are not known, the motorcyclists crashed, and both riders died.
One victim was found lying on the road, and the other victim was found over the side of the roadway by roughly 20 feet. Respondents pronounced the victims deceased at the accident site.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the victims were in their 40s and 50s. One man was a resident of Arizona, and one man was a resident of Camarillo. The names of the victims have not been reported.
No information has been reported on what caused the crash and investigators are working to understand the circumstances. It is not known from reports if anything or any other vehicle had been on the road when the crash occurred. The search into the details is continuing.
