Truck Jumps Curb in Ventura and Injures Boy on Seaward Avenue Sidewalk
VENTURA, CA (March 12, 2020) – On Wednesday afternoon in Ventura, a boy was injured when a truck jumped a curb and struck him on the sidewalk where he was walking. The March 11 incident occurred on Seaward Avenue close to where Alessandro Drive is located.
The time was roughly 3:30 p.m., according to Ventura Police.
Reports say the boy had been on the sidewalk on the southbound side of Seaward Avenue, and a vehicle—described as a work truck—went onto the curb and hit him.
Responders arrived to help the boy. They took him to the VCMC trauma center.
The types of injuries he suffered, and his current condition are not known. His age and city of residence are also not known.
The person who had been driving the truck remained at the incident site and cooperated with investigators. The person’s identity—including name, age, gender, and city of residence—has not been reported.
Investigators are working to understand how the accident happened by collecting details and information.
