Driver Crashes into House on Iroquois in Tustin and Dies; Passenger Hurt
TUSTIN, CA (January 27, 2020) – Early in the morning on Saturday, a driver crashed into a house in Tustin and was killed. A passenger was injured in the January 25 incident, which occurred on Iroquois in the 13000 block, close to El Camino Real and Browning Avenue.
The time was roughly a little after 2:24 a.m., according to Tustin Police.
Reports say a vehicle—described as a Toyota Camry—had smashed into and through a fence of cinder blocks, and through the dining room wall of a house.
Responders arrived and pronounced the driver deceased at the incident site. The victim’s name, age, and city of residence have not been reported.
A passenger who had been traveling with him was transported to a hospital. The injuries she suffered were described as not life threatening, though they have not been described. Her current condition is not known, nor is her identity.
According to Tito Perez, who is a resident of the house that was struck, no one inside the house was hurt in the incident.
Investigators are working on collecting details and information about the crash to understand why it happened.
