Table in Highway Causes Major Pileup

On Wednesday, a loss table in the middle of the freeway led to 5 vehicle pileup. The accident caused a delay in traffic for about an hour. Luckily, this 5 car accident did not involve any major injuries.
The accident happen at 11 a.m. when a driver in a pickup truck heading south bound lost a table in the interstate 15. The table was not secure properly on the bed of the vehicle. The table flew off the truck and land in the middle of the five lane freeway.
A red automobile tried to avoid colliding with the table but failed. A following utility truck then tried to avoid the red vehicle was rear-ended by a pickup truck that was hauling a trailer. The pickup truck hauling the trailer was following too closely. As a result of the impact, the utility truck slid to the right and overturned.
Unfortunately, a man driving an SUV was following a minivan too closely and struck it after the minivan slowed down. Cpl. Todd R. Johnson with the Utah Highway Patrol said “Among all those, there were no injuries; I think the worst was just a scratch on someone’s hand. ” He continued and said “The person responsible for the table circled back, as I understand, and came in and identified themselves as losing the table.”
