Crashes in Malibu and in Bellflower on Rain-slicked Roads Cause Damage in Southern California
SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA, CA (May 20, 2019) – Multiple crashes occurred on rain-slicked roads in Southern California on Sunday. The May 19 incidents occurred in Malibu and in Bellflower.
Reports say a vehicle that had been traveling in Malibu on Pacific Coast Highway in the morning on Sunday overturned and landed upside down. No details have been reported on the type of vehicle involved in the crash. Authorities said that the driver was not hurt. The identity of the driver, including the person’s name, age, gender, and city of residence, has not been reported. It is not known if anyone else had been traveling in the vehicle.
In another incident, rain-slicked roads may also have been a factor. Reports say multiple vehicles collided on the 405 Freeway in an area close to Bellflower. The incident occurred on the southbound side of the freeway.
None of the vehicles involved in the Bellflower incident have been described, and it is not known from reports why the vehicles crashed.
