Crash Involving Three Vehicles Kills Elementary School Crossing Guard in Simi Valley

SIMI VALLEY, CA (December 19, 2018) – A crossing guard who was working close to Arroyo Elementary School located in Simi Valley was hit and killed Tuesday afternoon. The December 18 accident occurred where Socrates Avenue and Los Angeles Avenue intersect, according to the Simi Valley Police Department.

The time was roughly 2:00 p.m.

According to reports, three vehicles collided, and one of the vehicles involved in the crash hit the crossing guard. Responders arrived on scene and transported the victim to a hospital. The injured person died a little while later.

The victim was identified as a 62 year old, but the person’s name, gender, and city of residence have not yet been reported.

The identities of the drivers occupying the three vehicles that collided have not yet been reported, including their names, ages, genders, and cities of residence. Whether there were other occupants traveling as passengers in the vehicles is not known. The types of vehicles involved in the crash have not yet been reported. According to authorities, no other person was hurt in the collision.
