Crash Involving Big Rig on Highway 46 in Shandon Causes Injuries

SHANDON, CA (December 23, 2019) – A collision involving a big rig and a car early in the morning on Sunday in Shandon on Highway 46 caused injuries. The December 22 incident occurred in the lanes that travel west, near Centre Street and to the east of it.

The time was roughly 6:15 a.m., the California Highway Patrol said.

Reports say the two vehicles collided in San Luis Obispo County, but the manner in which the incident happened has not been described. According to reports, the big rig overturned, and landed on its side. The car involved in the crash has also not been described.

Responders arrived and found that two people suffered injuries. The types of injuries the victims suffered, and their current condition is not known. Major injuries occurred, reports say, but it is not known if both victims suffered injuries of that type.

The identities of the two victims have not been reported, including name, age, gender, and cities of residence. The driver of each vehicle has also not been identified. It is not known if passengers had been in the vehicles that crashed.
