Rain-soaked Roads Lead to Multiple Traffic Collisions in Santa Clarita Valley
SANTA CLARITA VALLEY, CA (February 15, 2019) – Rain-soaked roads led to multiple traffic collisions in Santa Clarita Valley in the morning on Thursday. The February 14 accidents occurred on different roads in the area.
In one of the incidents, a car and a big rig collided on I-5 close to Magic Mountain Parkway. The accident happened in the lanes that travel north. The time was a bit before 8:40 a.m. The vehicle involved in the collision has not been described, and the driver of each vehicle has not been identified. It is not known if there were any injuries.
According to the California Highway Patrol, officers responded to multiple collisions on roads in the Santa Clarita Valley, many of which involved a single vehicle that spun out. One incident involved an Audi that had been traveling north on Highway 14. In an area close to the connector for I-5, the vehicle spun out. The time was roughly 9:00 a.m.
In another incident, California Highway Patrol arrived on scene where a Toyota truck, which had been traveling south on Highway 14, spun out near Escondido Canyon Road. The truck hit the divider in the center of the roadway. The time was a bit before 9:30 a.m.
No other details have been reported on each incident. Investigators are continuing to look into the information.
