Vehicle Smashes into House’s Garage on Vista Delgado Drive in Santa Clarita
SANTA CLARITA, CA (August 23, 2019) – A vehicle smashed into the garage of a house in Santa Clarita in the afternoon on Thursday, injuring one person. The August 22 incident occurred on Vista Delgado Drive in the 22900 block, close to Alabastro Drive and Las Mananitas Drive.
The time was roughly 1:50 p.m., according to Marvin Lim. Lim is a spokesperson with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Reports say a vehicle—which has not been described—crashed, pushing a parked vehicle—described as a BMW SUV—into a house’s garage. Responders found the vehicle that crashed was lying on its side.
No details are known regarding why the vehicle crashed, and how it ended up on its side. Responders worked to extricate the driver, who was trapped inside the vehicle.
Responders took the victim to a hospital in the area. The types of injuries the person suffered, and the current condition, has not been reported. The identity of the person, including name, age, gender, and city of residence, has not been reported.
No one who resided at the house was hurt, reports say. The garage was reported to have had minor damage.
Investigators are working on gathering information to understand why the accident happened.
