SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, CA (September 17, 2019) – A multi-vehicle collision on Saturday on State Route 154 injured seven people in Santa Barbara County. The September 14 incident occurred near Lake Cachuma.
The time was roughly 7:00 p.m.
Reports say a vehicle—described as a BMW—had been heading east on State Route 154. It collided with another vehicle—described as a Toyota Tacoma—which had been heading west.
A third vehicle—described as a Jeep—which had been heading eastbound struck the two crashed vehicles after coming around a bend in the road.
Two people had been traveling in the BMW. The occupants have not been identified in reports. Four people had been traveling in the Toyota, and the occupants have also not been identified in reports.
The sole occupant of the Jeep was identified only as a woman. Responders transported her by airlift to Cottage Hospital.

Responders took three other victims to Cottage Hospital by ground transport. The injuries the victims suffered were described as moderate. Their current condition has not been reported.
