Head-on Crash on Los Osos Valley Road in San Luis Obispo Causes Major Injuries

SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA (November 11, 2020) – Late in the afternoon on Sunday in San Luis Obispo, a head-on crash caused serious injuries. The November 8 incident occurred on Los Osos Valley Road near Foothill Boulevard.

The time was a little after 5:00 p.m., according to CAL FIRE SLO.

Reports say a vehicle, which had been traveling west on Los Osos Valley Road, went into the lane of opposing traffic and collided with another vehicle.

Responders arrived and worked to free two people from the wreckage. They took three people to a hospital.

One of the patients suffered injuries that were described as major. The types of injuries, and current condition of the patient has not been reported. The patient’s identity has also not been reported.

Another patient suffered injuries that were described as moderate. Those injuries have also not been described. The patient has not been identified.

A third patient suffered injuries that were described as minor. The patient has not been identified.

The driver of the vehicle that is suspected of going over into the other lane was identified by the California Highway Patrol as Alejandra Castro, 22 years old.

The driver of the other vehicle has not been identified in reports. The vehicles have not been described.
