San Jose CA (June 6, 2018) – 1 biker is dead following a crash with a tractor-trailer on Monterey Road close by to Stauffer Boulevard according to San Jose Police Department Officer Gina Tepoorten. The accident occurred Tuesday morning, June 6th, around 10:45 a.m. when a tractor-trailer taking up both the right lane and second from the right lane was pulling into a business. That’s when the biker crashed on the left side of the tractor-trailer. Apparently all other drivers on the second from the right lane besides the biker waited for the truck to pull in. The truck driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities as soon as they arrived to the crash site. The biker sustained major injuries and was transported to the nearby hospital where he died sometime after arrival. Santa Clara Medical Examiner’s Office identified the man as a 20-year-old from West Covina driving a Kawasaki motorcycle. No evidence claims that the biker was suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol. The investigation is ongoing.
