Woman Clings to Car Door as Driver Crashes into San Diego Cemetery Gate
SAN DIEGO, CA (August 20, 2019) – A woman clinging to the door of a car was hurt when the driver crashed into the gate of a cemetery early in the morning on Monday in San Diego. The August 19 incident occurred where Imperial Avenue and 38th Street intersect, at the Home of Peace Cemetery.
The time was roughly 2:00 a.m., according to Billy Hernandez. Hernandez is an officer with the San Diego Police.
Reports say a man and a woman were having an argument, and the woman held onto the door on the driver’s side as the vehicle crashed into the cemetery gate. The vehicle also struck a number of headstones, which fell over.
