Vehicle Erupts in Flames, Burning Parked Car and House on Felton Street in San Diego
SAN DIEGO, CA (December 20, 2019) – On Friday morning in San Diego, a Land Rover erupted in flames, burning another vehicle and a portion of a house. The December 20 incident occurred on Felton Street in the 4200 block, close to where El Cajon Boulevard is located, in the area of Normal Heights.
The time was roughly a little before 5:00 a.m.
Reports say the Land Rover erupted in flames, for reasons that are not known, and as firefighters came on site, it exploded repeatedly as they sent water onto it.
The fire burned not only the Land Rober, but also another vehicle which was parked in the driveway of the house. The fire also burned a portion of the garage at the house.
According to reports, no one was injured in the incident. The owner of the residence and of the vehicles has not been identified, including name and age. It has not been reported if anyone was in the home when the incident occurred.
Investigators are working to understand why the fire began.
