Vehicle Crashes into Cars Parked in San Diego Neighborhood
SAN DIEGO, CA (December 27, 2018) – A vehicle that went out of control crashed into cars parked on a street in a San Diego neighborhood, and smashed fences early Thursday morning. The December 27 accident occurred in the neighborhood of Paradise Hills, close to Parkside Neighborhood Park, and to the north of State Route 54.
The time was roughly 2:30 a.m.
According to reports, the vehicle—described as a pickup truck—went out of control. It struck a curb, and then crashed into a low fence made of brick. The pickup truck then smashed into an SUV that was parked in the driveway of a house.
Reports say that the pickup truck continued moving, and crashed through a fence made of metal, knocked a cable box down, and smashed into another car parked nearby. A trail of broken glass and brick was left on the sidewalk, and marks from the vehicle’s tires were left on the road surface of Parkway Avenue up to the site where the crashes occurred.
Respondents from the San Diego Police Department and San Diego Fire-Rescue Department arrived on scene to provide assistance. It has not yet been reported if anyone was injured in the accident. The identity of the person driving the pickup truck, the person’s name, age, gender, and city of residence have not yet been reported.
The identities of the owners of the cars that were struck have not yet been reported, nor the identities of the owners of the houses where fences were smashed.
