Vehicle Crash on Tuscaloosa Street Cuts Power to Over 500 Customers in San Diego
SAN DIEGO, CA (February 5, 2020) – A vehicle crash in San Diego’s Midway District on Tuesday afternoon cut power to over 500 customers. The February 4 incident occurred at 2619 Tuscaloosa Street.
The time was roughly 12:53 p.m.
Reports say a vehicle—which has not been described—crashed, for unknown reasons, and cut power to approximately 572 customers located in the Midway District, Lindbergh Field, and Ocean Beach. The vehicle also struck a fire hydrant.
Responders from San Diego Fire-Rescue, and crews from San Diego Gas & Electric, and the Public Utilities Department arrived on scene.
According to reports, the people who had been in the vehicle were able to exit the wreck. No one was reported hurt in the incident.
The identities of the people who had been in the vehicle have not been reported, including names, ages, gender, and cities of residence. The total number of occupants was not reported. The person who had been driving the vehicle at the time of the crash has also not been reported.
