Suspect Fleeing Police Pursuit Collides with Family’s Vehicle in San Diego, Causing Injuries
SAN DIEGO, CA (November 6, 2019) – On Tuesday night in San Diego, the driver of a car that was suspected stolen collided with a family’s vehicle while fleeing police pursuit. People in both vehicles were injured in the November 5 incident, which occurred in the area of Emerald Hills, where Pitta Street and Market Street intersect.
The time was roughly 9:45 p.m., according to San Diego Police.
Reports say officers attempted to pull a vehicle over that was traveling fast in the vicinity of Market Street and Euclid Avenue. The driver would not stop.
Police pursued the vehicle, and the vehicle collided with another vehicle—described as an SUV—where Pitta Street and Market Street intersect.
Responders arrived and transported five people who had been in the SUV to Sharp Memorial Hospital. The victims were identified as a wife, husband, and three children.
