Man Struck and Injured by Vehicle on Linda Vista Road in San Diego
SAN DIEGO, CA (November 20, 2019) – On Monday night, a man was struck and injured by a vehicle in the Morena area of San Diego. The November 18 incident occurred where Linda Vista Road and Marian Way intersect.
The time was roughly 7:00 p.m., according to John Buttle. Buttle is an officer with the San Diego Police.
Reports say the man started to walk within a crosswalk that is marked on Linda Vista Road when a vehicle—described as a Smart Car—began to turn to the right from Marin Way when the light turned green. The car struck and injured the pedestrian.
Responders arrived and transported the man to a hospital. The injuries he suffered included a fracture to this spine, reports say. His current condition is not known.
The victim was identified only as 25 years old. His name and city of residence have not been reported.
The person who had been driving the vehicle that struck the victim stayed at the incident site and cooperated with the investigation. He was identified only as 20 years old. His name and city of residence have not been reported.
