Driver Smashes into Parked Cars at Portofino Drive in San Diego
SAN DIEGO, CA (August 18, 2020) – Early in the morning on Saturday, a driver was injured after he smashed into cars parked on a street in the Del Mar Heights area of San Diego. The August 15 incident occurred in the vicinity of Long Boat Way and Portofino Drive.
The time was roughly 2:11 a.m., according to San Diego Fire-Rescue.
Reports say a vehicle–described as a Lexus–crashed into cars parked on the street, for reasons that are not known. The vehicles that were struck have not been described.
Responders from the fire department arrived and worked to extricate the driver from the wrecked vehicle.
Responders transported the man to a hospital. The injuries he suffered were described as serious. His current condition is not known. His identity, including name, age, and city of residence, has not been reported.
The owners of the vehicles that were struck have not been identified. Investigators are working to collect information about the crash.
