Crash on Camino Santa Fe in San Diego’s Sorrento Valley Area Kills Three
SAN DIEGO, CA (March 16, 2020) – On Friday night, three people died when the vehicle they were traveling in crashed at high speed in San Diego. The March 13 incident occurred in the area of Sorrento Valley, on Camino Santa Fe in the 9900 block.
The time was roughly 9:45 p.m., Tony Martinez said. Martinez is an officer with San Diego Police.
Reports say a vehicle—described as a Chevrolet pick up truck—had been traveling south on Camino Santa Fe at a fast speed. The truck went out of the driver’s control, spun out, went over the island in the center of the rad, and hit a tree.
Responders arrived and found that three people who had been passengers in the truck died at the incident site. They were identified only as ranging in age from 18 to 20. Their names, gender, and cities of residence have not been reported.
Responders transported the driver to a hospital. She suffered injuries which include third- and fourth-degree burns, according to Martinez.
Her current condition is not known. Her name and city of residence have not been reported.
Investigators are continuing to work on gathering information about the incident.
