Pedestrian Struck by Two Vehicles on E Street in San Bernardino Dies
SAN BERNARDINO, CA (September 9, 2019) – On Friday night, a woman walking across E Street in San Bernardino was struck by two vehicles, and she suffered fatal injuries. The September 6 incident occurred close to 16th Street and to the north of it.
The time was roughly 9:10 p.m., according to Sergeant E. Thomas. Thomas is with the San Bernardino Police Department.
Reports say the woman had been going across E Street on foot, and two vehicles, which were traveling northbound, hit her. The person who was driving the vehicle that first struck the woman remained at the accident scene. The person who was driving the vehicle that struck her second fled the incident site.
Responders arrived and transported the woman to the hospital. She was pronounced deceased in the hospital. Her identity, including name, age, and city of residence, has not been reported.
The first driver was identified as a man 22 years old and a resident of Bakersfield. Reports say he cooperated with investigators. His name has not been reported.
The second driver was described as a woman; she was driving a vehicle described as a minivan, light in color.
