Head-on Collision Kills Motorcyclist in San Bernardino
SAN BERNARDINO, CA (August 22, 2018) – A woman who had been riding a motorcycle in San Bernardino died Sunday morning following a head-on crash with a vehicle.
The accident occurred at roughly 5:30 a.m. on Fifth Street near Cooley Street.
Ratley had been traveling west on Fifth Street on her motorcycle, authorities say, when a vehicle that was traveling eastbound crossed over into the lane heading in the opposite direction and hit her head on.
Officials with the San Bernardino County Coroner’s office identified the woman who died as Catrina Ratley, a 31-year-old resident of San Bernardino.
Police arrested Christopher Villanueva, a 27-year-old resident of San Bernardino, on suspicion of driving under the influence and murder. Authorities booked him into Rancho Cucamonga’s West Valley Detention Center.
