Two Men Killed in Collision at Lakewood Street and Kendall Drive in San Bernardino
SAN BERNARDINO, CA (December 9, 2019) – Christopher Robinson and David Wesley were killed on Thursday afternoon in a collision in San Bernardino. The December 5 incident occurred where Lakewood Street and Kendall Drive intersect.
The time was a little before 12:30 p.m., according to police.
Reports say Wesley had been driving a pickup truck, and heading west on Kendall Drive. At the intersection with Lakewood Street, the pickup made a turn to the left in front of another vehicle, reports say. The other vehicle—described as a Volkswagen Beetle—collided broadside with the pickup truck.
Traveling as a passenger in the pickup truck was Christopher Robinson. The passenger side of the pickup was where the impact occurred.
Responders arrived and pronounced Robinson deceased at the incident site. Robinson was 72 years old.
Responders transported Wesley to a hospital, where he died. Wesley was 86 years old.
The person who had been driving the Volkswagen, identified as Jazmin Lewis, 19 years old, suffered injuries that were described as minor.
A person who had been traveling as a passenger in the Volkswagen also suffered minor injuries. The identity of the passenger, including name, age, gender, and city of residence, has not been reported.
