Collision on 91 Freeway in Riverside Injures Several People

RIVERSIDE, CA (January 9, 2019) – A collision on the 91 Freeway in Riverside in the evening on Monday injured several people. The January 7 accident occurred in the eastbound lanes of the freeway, near Tyler Street and to the east of it.

The time was roughly a little before 8:00 p.m.

Reports say that three vehicles collided, but the types of vehicles involved have not yet been reported. The crash blocked all of the freeway’s lanes. Reports say that firefighters had to carry equipment roughly 100 yards to reach the accident site. Some responders were forced to drive on the offramp for Van Buren Boulevard in the wrong direction to access the accident scene.

According to the Riverside Fire Department, one of the victims was identified as a woman 19 years old. She suffered serious injuries. Her name, and city of residence have not yet been reported.
