RANCHO SAN DIEGO, CA (September 12, 2018) – A driver, who mistakenly depressed the gas pedal instead of the brake, crashed into a Bank of America in Rancho San Diego on Monday.
The accident occurred at the bank’s branch on 2930 Jamacha Road. According to reports, the driver mistakenly stepped on the gas as she was driving toward the bank. The vehicle went over the curb, smashed into the building, and was inside before it stopped.
The three people in the vehicle—identified as the woman who was driving, a man, and a child—were not injured in the crash. All three exited the vehicle before responders arrived.
The glass in front of the building shattered, and the impact knocked the doors off the hinges. No major damage was reported to the building.
