Driver Suspected of Intentionally Running Over and Killing Man in Rancho Dominguez

RANCHO DOMINGUEZ, CA (November 9, 2020) – Early in the morning on Sunday, man was killed in Rancho Dominguez by a driver who is suspected of beating him and intentionally running him over, repeatedly. The November 8 incident occurred on South Laurel Park Road in the 19000 block.

The time was roughly 5:40 a.m., the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.

When deputies came on scene following a call of an assault that had occurred, a man was on the ground. According to reports, investigators discovered that a crash had happened involving two drivers, who exited their vehicles.

The two people argued, and the altercation became physical. A man was beaten by the other person. The person who did the beating is alleged to have entered the vehicle of the victim, and run over him intentionally and repeatedly, according to the Sheriff’s Department.

The vehicle of the victim stopped working, and the suspect is alleged to have run from the incident site.

The victim died from his injuries. He was identified only as 67 years old. His name and city of residence have not been reported.

A person who witnessed the incident identified the suspect for deputies. The suspect was arrested on suspicion of murder, according to reports.
