Man Struck by Two Vehicles on Holt Street in Pomona Dies
POMONA, CA (December 23, 2019) – A man was hit by two vehicles Saturday night in Pomona, and died. The first driver to hit the man left the scene of the December 21 incident, which occurred on Holt Avenue close to St. Paul Street.
The time was roughly 7:35 p.m., according to Pomona Police.
Reports say the man was found down on the road in the westbound lanes. Responders pronounced him deceased at the incident site. The identity of the victim, including his name, age, and city of residence, has not been reported.
Authorities were at the scene of the incident when a person—who said she had been a driver involved in it—approached them. Reports say that people who witnessed the incident said a driver, who was not the woman who approached police, was the first to hit the victim. The first driver did not stop to help, but fled the scene.
The second driver has not been identified, including her name, age, and city of residence. Neither of the vehicles involved in the incident have been described.
Investigators are working to collect details and evidence. They are searching for the first driver and the vehicle involved in the crash.
