Pedestrian Hit and Killed by Vehicle in Arcadia
ARCADIA, CA (December 3, 2018) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in the afternoon on Friday in Arcadia. The November 30 accident occurred on Duarte Road in the 1100 block, to the west of Sunset Boulevard, according to Mike Castro. Castro is a lieutenant with the Arcadia Police Department.
The time was roughly 3:30 p.m.
According to reports, the pedestrian—identified as a woman 52 years old and a resident of Arcadia—had been trying to walk across the street and a vehicle hit her.
Responders arrived on scene and transported the injured woman to a hospital. Reports say she did not survive her injuries. Her name, and the types of injuries she suffered, have not yet been reported.
The person who had been driving the vehicle stayed at the accident scene and cooperated with the investigation, according to John Bonomo. Bonomo is a sergeant with the Arcadia Police Department. The identity of the driver has not yet been reported.
