Crash on Highway 46 Near Paso Robles Kills Woman

PASO ROBLES, CA (November 19, 2018) – A collision on Friday night killed a woman near Paso Robles. The November 16 accident occurred on Highway 46, to the east of town.

The time was roughly 8:47 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

Reports say a woman—identified as a resident of Los Angeles—had been heading west on the highway in a Honda Fit. She pulled into the left-turn lane and stopped, to make a left on Geneseo Road.

As the Honda was making a left turn, a vehicle—described as a GMC utility truck—struck the passenger side of the Honda. The impact caused both vehicles to leave the road and land in an embankmet.

According to officers, the woman died at the accident scene. Her name and age have not yet been reported.

The person who was driving the truck—identified as Charles Bradshaw, a 44-year-old resident of Santa Maria—was injured. Details have not been reported on the types of injuries he suffered, or where he was taken for treatment.

Investigators are looking into the details to determine what caused the crash.
