PALMDALE, CA (July 23, 2018) – Tammi Johnson died Friday night after a hit-and-run driver struck her on Sierra Highway in Palmdale.
The time was roughly 11:45 p.m. The accident occurred close to Vincent View Road.
According to reports, Johnson was believed to be heading south on the highway at the time the driver hit her from behind.
After the first car hit her, another car hit her. The second car was described as a 2006 Volvo S40. The driver of the Volvo was found near the scene of the accident.
Descriptions characterize the hit-and-run vehicle as possibly a silver Lexus NX SUV. The SUV would have had damage to the front and right side. The SUV would also be missing a side-view mirror, and show that the windshield was shattered.
Tammi Johnson was a resident of Acton.
