PALM SPRINGS, CA (March 21, 2019) – Edward Lustro was killed in a collision while riding his motorcycle in the morning on Monday in Palm Springs. The March 18 accident occurred on Gene Autry Trail, near Seven Lakes Drive, and to the north of it.

Reports say that Lustro had completed working a 12-hour shift, and was traveling on the road, riding his motorcycle to the left of another vehicle. The other vehicle, described as a Honda, made a U-turn that was illegal, police say, and the car and motorcycle collided.

The person who had been driving the Honda remained at the accident site and cooperated with the investigation. The driver was identified as a man 54 years old and a resident of Palm Springs. His name has not been reported.
Investigators are examining the details and information to understand the sequence of events that led to the accident. No other details are available at this time.
