Driver Crashes into Cars Parked on Pacific Coast Highway in Pacific Palisades, Killing Man

PACIFIC PALISADES, CA (November 23, 2020) – Early in the morning on Saturday in Pacific Palisades, a driver crashed into cars that were parked on Pacific Coast Highway. A man who had been sitting inside one of the parked cars was killed in the November 21 crash, which occurred in the 17800 block.

The time was roughly a little after 3:30 a.m., Los Angeles Police said.

A vehicle–which has not been described–smashed into two cars that were parked on the southbound side of the highway. The parked vehicles have also not been described.

The victim who was killed had been sitting inside one of the parked vehicles. Responders arrived and pronounced him deceased at the crash site.

The identity of the victim, including his name, age, and city of residence, has not been reported.

Responders transported the people who had been inside the vehicle that crashed to a hospital. The types of injuries the people suffered have not been reported.

Three people were reported in critical condition. One person had injuries that were described as minor.

None of the people involved in the crash, including the driver, have been identified in reports.

Investigators are working to understand why the crash happened, and what circumstances and factors may have contributed to it.
