Bicyclist Struck and Killed on Statham Boulevard in Oxnard
CARLSBAD, CA (April 28, 2020) – Early in the morning on Sunday, a bicyclist was struck and killed in Oxnard. The April 26 incident occurred on Statham Boulevard in the 2400 block.
The time was roughly 4:30 a.m., according to Oxnard Police.
Reports say a vehicle–described as a Honda Civic–had been heading north on Statham Boulevard, and the vehicle and the bicycle collided. It is not clear from reports where the bicycle had been traveling when the crash happened.
Responders pronounced the victim deceased at the incident site. He was identified only as 49 years old and a resident of Oxnard. His name has not been reported.
The person who had been the driver of the Honda remained at the crash site. He was identified as a resident of Oxnard, 43 years old. His name has not been reported.
