Woman Identified as Person Crushed by Tractor on Beach in Oceanside
OCEANSIDE, CA (October 1, 2020) – Carol Ann Aguirre was identified by the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office as the woman who was crushed to death by a tractor on a beach in Oceanside on Monday. The September 28 incident occurred near North Pacific Street in the 1200 block.
The time was roughly 10:00 a.m., according to Tom Bussey. Bussey is a spokesperson with Oceanside Police.
Aguirre had been lying on the beach and was asleep when a tractor, that was being used in a dredging project, ran over her. The person driving the vehicle did not see her, according to police.
Aguirre died at the incident site. She was 68 years old.
The driver has not been identified in reports. Manson Dredge Co. is reported to be the owner of the tractor.
Investigators are continuing their work regarding the incident.
