Vehicle Hits and Kills Woman Looking for Dog on the Loose in North Hills
NORTH HILLS, CA (October 8, 2018) – A vehicle hit and killed a woman who was searching for a dog on the loose in North Hills. The October 8 accident occurred close to where Roscoe Boulevard and Burnet Avenue intersect, Lisset Fuentes said. Fuentes is a detective with the Los Angeles Police Department.
The time was roughly 2:40 a.m.
According to reports, a Camaro—driven by a man 21 years old and traveling the speed limit—hit the victim in the center of the street. Fuentes said the driver stayed at the accident scene and contacted 911.
The victim—identified as a woman in her mid twenties and a resident of the area—died at the accident scene. Her name has not been reported.
According to Fuentes, the driver was not driving under the influence, and speed did not play a role. Investigators are trying to determine what caused the crash.
