Woman Identified as Woman Struck and Killed on San Joaquin Hills Road in Newport Beach

NEWPORT BEACH, CA (March 20, 2020) – Aubrye Foote was identified by the Orange County coroner’s office as the woman who was fatally injured when she was struck by a vehicle in Newport Beach on Saturday. The March 15 incident occurred on San Joaquin Hills Road, near Newport Ridge Drive and to the west of it.

The time was roughly 11:20 p.m., according to the coroner’s office.

Reports say Foote was struck by a vehicle, but the circumstances of the crash are not clear.

Responders arrived and transported Foote to Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center located in Mission Viejo. She died in the hospital. She was 45 years old, and a resident of Newport Beach.

The person who had been driving the vehicle involved in the incident has not been identified, including name, age, gender, and city of residence. The vehicle has not been described.

Investigators are working to understand why the crash happened; they are collecting information and details.
