Man Killed by Hit-and-run Driver Who Drove into Crowd in Moreno Valley
MORENO VALLEY, CA (October 22, 2019) – J.R. Moreno was killed by a hit-and-run driver who drove into a crowd of people in Moreno Valley early in the morning on Thursday. The October 17 incident occurred on Alessandro Boulevard in the 248000 block, where the parking lot of El Rodeo Restaurant and Club is located.
The time was roughly 2:06 a.m., according to the Riverside County Fire Department and CAL Fire.
Reports say a driver plowed into a crowd of people, killing Gonzalez. Gonzalez was 29 years old.
According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, responders took another victim to a hospital. The person suffered injuries that were described as serious. The identity of the person, including name, age, gender, and city of residence, has not been reported.
A person who witnessed the incident said a Halloween event had just concluded at the facility, and many people were in the parking lot preparing to leave.
Other people who witnessed the incident said the person driving the vehicle plowed into people and ran them over with no hesitation.
According to investigators, they are searching for a Ford 150, black in color, as the vehicle involved in the hit and run. They are also searching for two men who were in the vehicle.
