1 Killed and 1 Injured in Rollover Crash on 5 Fwy in LA
Los Angeles, CA (July 17, 2024) – A fatal rollover accident occurred early Wednesday morning on the 5 Freeway near Griffith Park Drive, resulting in one death and another person injured. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that the single-vehicle crash happened around 3:35 a.m.
For reasons still under investigation, the driver of a pickup truck lost control of the vehicle, causing it to overturn multiple times. The truck eventually came to rest in the slow lane, scattering debris across the highway.
Individual Who Died In Crash Was Pronounced Dead At The Scene
One victim was pronounced dead at the scene, while another individual suffered injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
As a result of the crash, police closed two lanes to conduct a thorough investigation. The cause of the accident remains undetermined, and the CHP is continuing its efforts to understand the circumstances leading to the rollover.
