Pedestrian Killed on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles by Hit-and-run Driver
LOS ANGELES, CA (May 16, 2019) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver Wednesday night in Los Angeles. The May 15 incident occurred where Ogden Drive and Melrose Avenue intersect in Los Angeles’ Fairfax neighborhood.
The time was roughly 10:10 p.m., according to Mike Lopez. Lopez is an officer with the Los Angeles Police Department.
Reports say the person who had been driving the vehicle that hit the pedestrian fled the scene and did not stop to help the victim. Respondents arrived and pronounced the pedestrian deceased at the accident site. The person’s identity, including name, age, gender, and city of residence, has not been reported.
No details have been reported regarding the identity of the suspected hit-and-run driver, or the vehicle involved. According to reports, police were searching in an in West Hollywood.
