Hit-and-run Driver Injures Teenaged Girl Near Fashion District in Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES, CA (September 19, 2019) – A hit-and-run driver struck and injured a teenaged girl in Los Angeles’ Fashion District last Thursday, according to an announcement by officials yesterday. Authorities are looking for the driver involved in the September 12 incident.
Reports say the girl—aged 14—had been crossing in a crosswalk where Standford Avenue and Washington Boulevard intersect.
The time was roughly 7:40 a.m., the Los Angeles Police Department said.
A vehicle—described as an SUV, which may have been a Toyota Highlander, and tan in color—hit the girl. The person driving did not stop to help the girl after hitting her. The driver was described as a man in his 30s.
Responders transported the victim to a hospital. Her injuries included an injury to her hip. Her current condition has not been reported.
Authorities are offering a reward of $25,000 for information that leads to the driver’s arrest and conviction. If anyone has information regarding the incident, the person should contact Moses Castillo, who is a police detective. The number is 213-833-3713.
