Collision Near Echo Park Lake Involving Police Pursuit Kills Three, Injures One
LOS ANGELES, CA (November 1, 2019) – Early in the morning on Friday, three people were killed and one was injured in a rollover collision involving police pursuit near Echo Park Lake. The November 1 incident occurred on Rampart Boulevard close to where the 101 Freeway northbound is located.
The time was roughly 4:00 a.m.
Reports say responders from the Los Angeles Fire Department worked to free people who were trapped in a wrecked vehicle which had overturned. Responders produced three people deceased at the site of the incident.
Responders took one person to a hospital. The person was reported to be in critical condition. The types of injuries the person suffered have not been reported.
None of the people involved in the incident have been identified, including their names, genders, and cities of residence. According to reports, officials believe the people are in their twenties or thirties. It is not known who had been driving the vehicle.
Reports say only that the incident involved a pursuit by Los Angeles Police. It is not clear if the vehicle that crashed was the vehicle that was being pursued.
