Collision Involving LAPD Patrol Vehicle and Other Vehicle Injures Officers in Watts
LOS ANGELES, CA (July 1, 2019) – A collision early in the morning on Friday involving a Los Angeles Police Department patrol vehicle and another vehicle injured two officers in South Los Angeles. The June 28 incident occurred where Success Avenue and Imperial Highway intersect, in the neighborhood of Watts.
The time was roughly a little after 1:30 a.m.
Reports say the vehicles collided, but no details have been reported on where each vehicle had been traveling prior to the collision. Responders arrived and took the injured officers to a hospital in the area, according to Officer Lopez. Lopez is with the Los Angeles Police Department.
