Lindsay Lohan Doing Fine Following Car Accident

Troubled starlet Lindsay Lohan was involved in a car accident on her way to a movie set Friday morning.

The 25-year-old actress, who looks like she’s pushing 40, was driving in a rented Porsche Panamer along the Pacific Coast Highway in Santa Monica when she collided with a big rig. She was headed to the set of “Liz & Dick” before she rear-ended the 18-wheeler.  Lohan’s assistant was riding in the passenger seat and was slightly injured in the car wreck. Lohan, her assistant and the driver of the other vehicle were taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries.

The black Porsche Lohan was driving sustained the most damage on the passenger side. The window on the right side was shattered.

According to TMZ, which first broke news of the accident, Lohan claims that she’d been cut off by the truck driver. Now she claims that her brakes failed and that’s why she couldn’t stop in a timely manner when the other driver cut her off.

The truck driver on the receiving end of Lohan’s Porsche has hired a lawyer to represent him because he claims he was injured in the crash. He wants compensation for his pain and suffering.

The other driver said he went to see a doctor on Sunday, despite telling everyone that he was OK. On the advice of his lawyer, he did not discuss the nature of his injuries.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, the truck driver also claims that Lohan’s representatives tried to bribe him, but he declined.

Surprisingly, Lohan, who has had her fair share of troubles in recent years, was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Lohan did not show any signs of intoxication and she was not cited for anything.

In 2006, Lohan was arrested twice for driving under the influence. Lohan continues to deal with a litany of legal troubles.

In the last several weeks, Lohan has been filming an Elizabeth Taylor biopic for Lifetime. Amid much criticism, Lohan was cast to play the role of the late iconic actress.

Like many celebrities with substance abuse problems, Lohan is an accident waiting to happen. Sadly, every time she gets behind the wheel, something terrible happens.  The same could be said about regular people with substance abuse problems.

If you or someone you know has been injured in a car accident and you suspect alcohol or drug abuse, you should seek the legal advice of a personal injury attorney. Only a trained injury lawyer can help you receive the compensation you deserve for your pain and suffering.
